Prior to becoming an attorney, David S. Bouschor, II received his Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 1980. This led him to work in the oil industry for several years. He has also owned a rescue and salvage diving business.Mr. Bouschor is a 1991 graduate of the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. In 1998 he opened The Law Office of David S. Bouschor, II, P.C. in Denton, Texas.
For over twenty-five years, Mr. Bouschor’s legal career has consisted of practicing in Family Law, Guardianship, Probate, Probate Litigation, Mediation/ Arbitration, and Collaborative Divorce. He is a firm believer in dispute resolution through negotiation, however, he has proven himself to be a skilled litigator. Mr. Bouschor is currently an active member of several professional organizations, including the College of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).
David has also spent significant time training other professionals on the collaborative approach and process and has shared his expertise on this topic with international audiences. These areas of law are especially rewarding to him as he takes an active and meaningful role in people’s lives. He prides himself on the highly individualized personal service he can offer as a small firm. This enables him to get to know his client’s full legal and personal situation so that by working as a team, Mr. Bouschor and the client can fully access the client’s legal issues and only then help the client craft the best approach to dealing with the legal matter at hand.
Mr. Bouschor is active in several professional organizations. These include the College of the State Bar of Texas, the Denton County Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section, the Denton Bar of Texas Probate Section, the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, and the State Bar of Texas. He is board-certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Specialization since 1995. He is the Founder of the Denton County Bar Family Lawyers Section.
