I hired Baum Hedlund, as I heard they were the best product liability law firm in the country. On my behalf, Baum Hedlund filed a lawsuit against the drug company, GSK, after the death of my husband. He ended his life after being on the drug Paxil for 6 days. They lied about the true risk for suicide in reporting the findings of the drug trials . This lawsuit had a slim chance of being heard by the courts. Their ability to uncover hidden documents that showed the GSK engaged in fraudulent drug trials was incredible. The deception was astonishing. We ended up going to trial and we won. The jury saw the original drug trials that Baum Hedlund had discovered that showed their complete deceit and lack of transparency. GSK hired many lawyers and tried to divert the jury with frivolous antics, but these lawyers, from prestigious law firms, could not compete with Baum Hedlund. The verdict was eventually overturned on preemption but no one ever disputed the lower court's accuracy. Baum Hedlund fought to the end including appealing to the Supreme Court. Just as important to me, these lawyers became my dear friends. They treated this case as if my husband was their relative. This was an extraordinarily emotional and difficult time for my family. We felt their true empathy, understanding and concern for our well being. I could not have imagined going through this experience for close to 10 years with any other firm. They truly are the best in country. They are like no other.
